When a job meets every practical requirement but creates inner resistance, examine the facts, the body response and the hidden tradeoffs before deciding.

A job offer can include the right title, salary and benefits while still creating a quiet sense of resistance. That feeling deserves attention, but it should be investigated rather than automatically obeyed. Intuition becomes most useful when it helps you notice information that enthusiasm, fear or financial pressure may be hiding.

Separate anxiety from a specific warning

Normal change anxiety sounds broad: “What if I fail?” An intuitive warning often feels more focused. You may keep returning to the manager’s tone, an unclear responsibility, unrealistic turnover or a culture that did not match the polished interview.

Ask the questions you avoided

Request details about workload, success measures, schedule, travel and why the previous employee left. Speak with a future colleague if possible. A sound opportunity usually becomes clearer when examined; a weak one often depends on keeping important details vague.

Compare the whole exchange

A higher salary may come with less time, more stress or fewer advancement options. A smaller organization may offer autonomy but less structure. Write down what you gain, what you surrender and which tradeoffs are reversible.

Notice whether the resistance changes with information

If your discomfort settles after receiving clear answers, anxiety may have needed reassurance. If it grows as contradictions appear, the feeling is helping you recognize a real mismatch. Either way, you have converted a vague sensation into usable insight.

Choose from clarity rather than urgency

A career reading can explore the energy around the offer, alternative paths and timing while keeping the practical decision in your hands. Contact Melissa before booking for a focused session grounded in more than 30 years of intuitive experience.
